castle bit the dust this evening
My home server decided it didn't want to live anymore. I don't know if it's the mo-board, the CPU, or the power supply but it's toastier than a loaf of bread left in a 500 degree oven for 2 hours.
Thankfully the drives survived.
Thankfully I have a computer I was trying to get working to migrate castle to a while ago. I never succeeded because it crashed whenever I put a compile load on it.
I moved the drives over and brought the crippledcastle back online. It is currently refreshing the backup I took less than a week ago, just in case.
Meanwhile, I am probably going to buy option 2 on this quote. I shouldn't spend the money on the extra RAM (that's the only difference) but I hate wasting slots if I don't really have to and the price is close enough that I'm going to do it anyway.
I wonder how fast they can build it for me? Of course, this had to happen on Friday night before a 3-day weekend.
