My last post as Black Lion (about 8 hours late)

That's it. I'm done. I stepped down about 8 hours or so ago. The party's over, the area is cleaned up. Someone else gets to deal with politics for a while. I'll just be focusing on that one thorn - the OP Database.

It's been a great 3 years. I learned a lot. I thank all of the people who were so wonderful and supportive! I'm glad I did it and I'm glad I'm done. :)

Yeah, it's a tough one. Obviously it's something can be the end of a former BL's SCA life. How many former Black Lion's can you name that are still active. :/ There aren't that many really, which is unfortunate.

We're talking about coming back, but it's obviously something we have to think very hard about. We have Hiro, and my work is pretty much ALL Consuming. Plus a lot of the SCA we knew has moved on without us, and we're not sure where our place is.

But maybe we can make some of the Sept. Crown, that one is local right? We'll see. Hopefully my work schedule will allow it.

September Crown is here in Madrone, yes. I won't be there - out of the area - but I know for a fact the college would love to see you. Even if it's just a day trip, come play with us. You've been missed. People ask me about you a lot.

My 'retirement job' is to keep on top of the new OP DB work and assist with the migration. I'm also acting as BL's contingency deputy until she names a new Demi-Lion. Aside from that I"ll be laying low to give her a chance to be BL.

How is that coming? I still might want to tie in to the OP with the Scroll Assignment Database (my tech person for that just completed her PHd and will have time... maybe...).

With a new Sable Sable in place things are finally moving off of Go again (and since I'm not a Royal Scribe most of the stuff at the top is not my problem any more, I've consulted and they will either use the information I have given or not) Bronwen is going to get the contact information in the Crier and on the website up to date and then go from there.
