ctseawa at 09:14am on 19/01/2006Well, as badly as this year has gone for me (one of the worst start-of-the-years I can remember since finding out Randy had been .. randy with someone in an unsafe manner) has now had 2 shining future moments.
Two days ago I was notified that I'll be teaching my Infrastructures class at Usenix ATC in Boston the first week of June.
Late last night I got email confirming that I will be a Friday afternoon speaker at SANE 2006 in Delft, The Netherlands. The talk I proposed was on self-marketing for system admins. In other words, how to make sure people understand why SAs are important and that you really are doing work when the servers are up. The talk they accepted is "something really technical, I'm sure you can think of one." Hmm.
