Dreaming of lime gerbils in a cheese sauce

Hey kayatkattara, happy birthday!

Well, today didn't work out like I'd planned, but it wasn't all bad.

I really did intend to come home after work and turn off the lights in case the one person who came knocking last year came back. Really, I did. It wasn't my fault that the servers at work decided this evening was the time to melt down.

So, instead of going home I got to stay at work late. I did manage to get out for dinner though. I joined cow in Capital Hill. We wound up at Jalisco for some ok Mexican food then Cafe Ladro for a very disappointing cup of coffee (for him) and a semi-ok slice of apple pie for me. I just got home via the route 49 and 65 buses.

I'm working on "being out and about" in the evenings. Hopefully there will be more such evenings in the near future.
