Here's a reminder about the supreme court judges, some of whom are up for re-election:
Those who believe in equality for all: Justices Bobbe Bridge, Mary Fairhurst, Susan Owens and Tom Chambers.
Those who believe marriage is a special right reserved for breeders*: Barbara Madsen, Chief Justice Gerry Alexander and Justice Charles Johnson. Justices James Johnson and Richard Sanders joined the majority in a separate concurrence.
* - "Writing for a 5-4 majority, Justice Barbara Madsen said the state's Defense of Marriage Act, which defines marriage as between a man and woman, is constitutional because it furthers the state's interest of stable, child-producing unions"
