According to news reports today, Amazon is blaming this on a computer glitch. "This is an embarrassing and ham-fisted cataloging error for a company that prides itself on offering complete selection," Amazon spokeswoman Patty Smith wrote in an e-mail.
i love how "heather has two mommies" is an "adult" book, according to their cataloging error.

i had never really jumped on the Amazon is Evulz bandwagon, but they are handling this so very very badly that I think i'll have to change by book-buying habits. after i tell them exactly why i am changing my default book source. (their conservative customers were unhappy? wait'll they find out how unhappy their gay-loving liberal customers are... whoosh.)
