I can't get married because you might stop breeding

I've been brooding about this all day. I am now officially a second class citizen in the state of Washington. Equal rights? Doesn't exist.

The Washington State supine court evidently has 5 morons who think their religion is more important than equal treatment under the law. They show how unbelievably stupid they are by parroting the "if we allow gay marriage then straight people will break up and marry gay" and the "if we allow this people will stop breeding" bullshit the American Taliban has been spouting.

I thought the court's job was to protect the minority from the tyranny of the majority - or the religiously depraved, not to force us to live under their fucked up ideas of how their "god" wants it's creatures to live.

What a fucking travesty.

what I find bizarre is that all the people who rant on about the fact that letting gay people get married is a bad thing and they should all burn in hell, is they say, 'if we let gays marry, then what's next? marrying goats?"

I am scared, really scared that people think that the next step is animals.
we've got the same self styled religious activists in our parliament with exactly the same 'morals' trying to protect their little institution.

what is marriage but a formal committment to your lifelong partner. why deny that to a not insignificant portion of the population?

I think gays shouldn't have to pay taxes.. Simple enpugh, if our constitution does not protect you, then YOu should not have to pay for a goverment that does not believe in you

Who said you needed to partner with someone of the opposite sex to breed???? Of course, does this mean my brother and sister-in-law must divorce because they can't/haven't (not sure of which) have kids??? And that anyone with kids can't divorce?

I think we need to send a copy of the Federalist Papers to each justice on the bench. Maybe then we will see what can happen.

Of course, they can't stop us from voting them out (so far anyway).

Sadly, the American Taliban has already announced their intent to work to oust the 4 judges who did side with giving equal rights to all. This is nausiating me.

It's the same tyranny of selfish stupidity as the pathetic excuses for human beings who think their religious views should dictate whether they have the right to withhold medical treatment from someone they don't like.

If/when I become a doctor, I wonder if I could get away with serving it right back at them by saying my "religious beliefs" forbid me from treating selfish, narrow-minded assholes who claim to be the same religion as me.
